ABOUT GIULIA MAZZOCCHI
I am a student studying Performance Design and Practice in Central Saint Martins. My interests lie mainly in the technical side of performance swaying strongly towards the creation of films. My inspiration comes from my environment; whether they are people I recently talk to, the topics I came to interact with, different world events or simply observations from daily lifestyle.
I believe in simplicity. This can either be the simplicity in the idea behind the work pieces, the simplicity of the original source of inspiration or even the simplicity in the way a complicated idea can be conveyed through. I also strongly believe in multi disciplinary art, where one artist is able to work on different platforms as this blurs the boundary and creates a more unified art piece.
I currently enjoy exploring live and recorded performances. Where there is the use of projections – either pre-recorded or live streamed along with live performers on stage. This seems to create another alluring dimension, which at the same time, is not necessarily charming.
